Ginny Henson
Ginny Henson studied clarinet at the Royal College of Music in London and began her professional career as a member of the Scottish National Orchestra, where she stayed for seventeen years. She has lived in Scotland since then and has performed with all the Scottish orchestras, and in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, English National Opera, and has given concerts throughout Europe and North America. She was a founder member of the Paragon Ensemble. After retiring she took courses in creative writing at the Open University and the University of Glasgow and became an enthusiastic member of various poetry groups. She is a keen gardener and animal lover and has numerous pets.
